Algebra Unit Recovery at Long Reach

Is your student currently enrolled in Algebra 1? Based on classroom assessments your student may be eligible for Unit Recovery after school. This program is offered through teacher invitation throughout the school year to help re-teach concepts and build student understanding. Please complete the link below to grant permission. Music Booster's Fundraiser at Ledo Pizza, 9/26/2018

Music Boosters have scheduled a restaurant night at Ledo Pizza on Troy Hill Dr in Elkridge on Wed, 9/26/18. If customers mention they support the Long Reach High School music to a cashier or a server, 20% of the proceeds will go to the music boosters to help fund various activities of the band, choir and orchestra.

Flu Clinic Information

Flu consents were distributed in school and are due on September 21st. If your child did not receive a flu consent, you can go online and complete the consent there, www.vaccineconsent.com The flu clinic will be held on October 9th, Tuesday, from 7:30am-9:30am. There will be no make-up dates. If needed, you can make an appointment with your child's doctor or contact your local pharmacy for his/her flu shot. If you are unable to complete the consent online, attached is the consent we sent out. There is an English version and Spanish version.

Science National Honor Society

Applications are now available for Juniors or Seniors who are interested in applying for the Science National Honor Society. Students must have a 3.4 overall GPA and and 3.5 GPA in their Science courses. In addition, students must have taken at least one Honors or GT Science course prior to their Junior year AND must currently be enrolled in at least one upper level Science course. Student may obtain an application from their Science teacher or from Mrs Duff in Room 252.

National Honor Society

Did your student receive a letter stating that he or she is eligible for the LRHS Chapter of the National Honor Society? If so, applications are still available in room 326 before or after school and are due by Friday September 28th. These applications can also be printed from the NHS website (http://bdungey.wixsite.com/longreachnhs/prospectivemembers). Make sure your student reads the opening letter carefully in order to fill out the application correctly and give him/her the best chance possible of being accepted. Please note this opportunity is only available for current juniors and seniors with a 3.40 cumulative, weighted GPA or higher.
