Highlighted Message

From the Desk of the Principal

Dear LRHS Community,

Happy Friday! Every Monday from 10:50am - 11:20am, students are scheduled and expected to attend their Lightning Time class.  During Lightning Time, important school announcements will be shared, College and Career updates from Student Services Department will be provided, and various topics based on student input will be covered.  In addition, this time is also designed for students to connect with their fellow classmates, as well as their teacher in a small group setting (I am even co-teaching a class!).

While still in a Virtual Learning setting, we are continuing to provide ways for our students and community to feel connected to LRHS. For example, our school news site, the Lightning Flash, is up and running providing an important student perspective.

Weekly, our student newspaper sends News Flashes through our Student Canvas Community page to keep LRHS up to speed on important topics.

We are offering opportunities for students to connect through honor societies and clubs after school, as well as ways to get academic assistance through our Beyond School Hours Program.

Lastly, I am pleased to announce that the LRHS Library Media Center is now offering Contactless Book Pick Up where students can reserve a book and pick it up at LRHS. Click here for details and directions!
