The annual Long Reach High School Coffee House is Friday November 18th at 7 p.m. In the Atrium. The theme for this year, ‘POP!’, is a nod to the art of the 1960s. Be a 'Forever' part of Long Reach High School: The PTSA is offering all current and alumni LRHS families and LRHS staff the opportunity to buy an engraved brick(s) for placement in the front of the school near the Main Entrance door. We've extended sales by one week so you have until Nov 11 to place orders. Bricks are being offered on a first-come first-served basis. This week we hosted two important evening events. The first, titled Voices For Inclusive Community was a collaborative effort between the school system, police department, and the Howard County Office of Civil Rights. Throughout the evening, school system students, parents, and staff as well as members of the community shared their important perspectives and provided input on how to build a more inclusive community. As part of a thriving partnership between the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) and Howard Community College (HCC), we are delighted to offer students enrolled in the following courses: Advanced Culinary Science, Principles of Business and Management (POBM), and/ or Teaching as a Profession (TAP) the opportunity to earn site-based dual credit from Howard Community College.
