Long Reach Celebrates Pi Day – Raising $1,400.00 for Grassroots

On, March 22, 2019, LRHS will host it’s second annual Hoops for Roots: 3-on3 basketball tournament to help raise money to fund a day for the 24-hour crisis center at Grassroots. If you would like to donate your time at the event, sponsor a team, or donate to the cash prize for the winning team please contact the school and ask to speak with one of the Hoops for Roots Sponsors.

Message From the Health Room

In April, we will be holding in-school immunization clinics for 11th and 12th graders, offering Tdap, Meningitis, MenB, and HPV vaccinations. These vaccines may be required or recommended for college entry or employment. The vaccines will be offered at no cost to you. There is no co-pay or deductible. However, we will bill your insurance company, if you have insurance.

Sophomore Class, 2021: A representative from Herff Jones (not Jostens) will be at Long Reach on Wednesday evening, February 27th during the Road to your Future Event, 6:30-8:30 p.m. to size and take ring orders. Also, Classes 2019 and 2020 will be able to order their class ring. Unable to make it? Catalogs/order forms are in the front office or get the APP....Text RING to 70934 or visit herffjones.com/classringapp. Don't forget to bring in shoes, no holes or tears for the fundraiser.

Sophomore Class Update

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Little Caesar's Fundraiser. Join us next Wednesday, February 27th at the College and Career Planning Night, 6:30-8:30 p.m. There will be an opportunity to meet with a representative from Jostens to order your class ring. Need to recycle those old and possibly worn out shoes to make room for new shoes? Bring them on Wednesday and donate to the Sophomore Shoe fundraiser. All types of shoes are acceptable. Make certain it's a pair, no singles, no tears or holes. Proceeds will benefit the Jr/Sr 2020 Prom.

The Class of 2021 is collecting gently used shoes for our current fundraiser. Please bring in any gently used shoes, slippers, flip flops, etc. Just drop of your shoe donation in the box labeled Class of 2021 in the front office. Thank you for supporting the Class of 2021.
