From the Desk of the Principal 12/2

Dear LRHS,
I hope you each had a wonderful Thanksgiving break!  We have had a lot to celebrate this week at LRHS.  We learned that 9 of our current students auditioned for and were accepted into the Maryland All-State Band, Chorus and Orchestra.

On Monday, County Council Chairperson Dr. Calvin Ball visited LRHS to speak to our students enrolled in government classes.  During his time, Dr. Ball discussed his path to public service and had the opportunity to field questions. I would like to thank Dr. Ball for taking the time to visit as well Mr. O'brien for helping to organize this informative event.

This past Wednesday evening, a total of 78 students were inducted to the LRHS chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS). As principal, I could not be prouder of our students that were inducted.  They truly embody the National Honor Society's core principals of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. I would like to thank the student executive board and our faculty advisors Ms. Dungey and Ms. Schneider for their work in making this such a wonderful evening. I would also like to acknowledge our string trio and madrigals for the beautiful performances throughout the event.
