Senior Update: Graduation Information - May 2017

Are you ready?? Just a couple of weeks left. I just wanted to touch base with all of you before we get into rehearsal week. Here are a few items that are coming up, I will be sending out another letter at the end of next week.

HSA Assessment - Beginning This Week!

Starting the week of April 24, Long Reach will be administering the HSA and PARCC assessments. Passing these assessments is a high school graduation requirement for all students earning a Maryland High School diploma. Long Reach's testing schedule is as follows:

PTSA Updates April 2017

After Prom is right around the corner! Also, as the school year continues to fly by, the call for nominations for the 2017-18 executive board is now being accepted! Staff Appreciation is the week of May 1-5.

Long Reach Culture Week, April 18 - 21

Purpose: Long Reach is very diverse and now is our time to broadcast who we are. Someone once said “Culture is what unites people”.

Junior/Senior Fundraiser Pick up 4/4

All Junior/Senior class fundraiser items must be picked up on Tuesday, April 4 between 2:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. just inside the front entrance of LRHS by the front office. There is no provision at LRHS for storage of perishables.

3rd Quarter Ends on Friday April 7

Third quarter ends this week and this is a great time for all of us to connect with our students and see if there are any final assignments, or make up work that can be completed as we end the quarter. Some good questions to ask your child:

HCASC Meeting in April

Please attend Howard County Association of Student Councils (HCASC) meetings. Next Meeting Wednesday 4/19 7-8:30 at the Board of Education: Meet the Students Running for School Board at the Student Member of the Board of Education Candidate Forum

PTSA Advanced SAT Prep Class

Advanced SAT Class: Classes being April 18 for the May SAT test date and will be every Tuesday and Thursday through May 4th from 3-5pm. Register online: http://www.advancedsatprep.com

Message from the Health Room

There has been a new national recall of Epipens in the United States. Please see the press release below from Mylan. The Health Services staff are currently identifying any assigned epipens in the health rooms for the affected Lot numbers. Parents with the affected Epipens will be contacted for a replacement.
