SWE (Society of Women Engineers) Next STEM Club -

Our next meeting is Tuesday, Nov, 5th at 2:15 pm in room 354. Our guest speaker will be Brenda Blanco, a bilingual registered nurse at Holy Cross hospital in Silver Springs. Brenda majored in biomedical engineering at the University of Utah and then pursued her nursing degree at the University of Miami. All students are welcome to join us to learn about Brenda's academic and career journey.

SOPHOMORES--- Learn more about HOBY today.

HOBY is a 4-day Leadership Seminar based on three leadership perspectives: Personal, Group, and Societal. The event will take place June 2020, date and location TBD. After each seminar, HOBY alumni are challenged to complete 100 hours of community service within the next school year.

It is that time of year when admissions representatives from several colleges, universities, technical schools and the military make appointments to see students here at LRHS. This is a great opportunity for you to not only learn more about the different options you have after graduation but also to make face-to-face connections with the admissions reps who will be reading your application! Seeking parent and student participants for One Long Reach Day, 11/14

We are looking for parents to participate in the One Long Reach Day on November 14 - contact Richard Smart (richard_smart@hcpss.org) if you are interested. On November 14 Long Reach will be hosting its first OneLongReach Day for the 2018/2019 school year. Our goal through all OneLongReach Initiatives is to grow belonging and togetherness within our school community so that we can create authentic and postive relationships, challenge marginalization, and promote inclusion. On November 14 100 students and 20 staff and community members will experience activities in the gym
