HCPSS previously announced it had received grants and funding to achieve a one-to-one ratio of student to devices. Unfortunately, due to vendor delays, order fulfillment did not arrive as expected and secondary students were not all provided with devices.
We are pleased to announce HCPSS has received the additional Chromebooks and is preparing for distribution to all middle and high school students. If your student does not currently have an HCPSS-issued Chromebook assigned to them, your family can either trade the Dell laptop in (if you have been assigned one) or pick up a Chromebook. Please find information regarding Chromebook pickup below.
Schedule:
Please pick up or trade a Dell for the Chromebook at the below date and time:
Grade Level: 9-12th grade!
Date: Every School Day
Time: 7:30am - 3pm
Location: LRHS Main Office
Upon arrival, all parents/guardians, emergency contacts and/or students must wear a protective face mask and comply with social distancing guidelines.
Duties/Obligations and Support:
The Chromebook Duties and Obligations can be accessed on the HCPSS website. After receiving an HCPSS Chromebook, families can use the directions for connecting a Chromebook to Wi-Fi to connect it to their home network. If your student has questions on how to use the technology to access instruction or is having technical issues, please reach out to one of your child’s teachers and/or a Library Media Specialist.
Questions:
If you have any questions regarding the device or the distribution, please contact Richard Smart at richard_smart@hcpss.org.
