Here’s what’s happening for Juniors in February:

The Road to the Future: LRHS College Planning Night- this is a really important event for all Junior families! Presentations for this night will help parents and students hear more information about applying to college, what the process is like, and many other helpful topics like financial aid and what community colleges have to offer! College Planning Night will help you feel prepared going into Senior year!!
When: Thursday, February 16, 2017
Time: 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Where: Long Reach High School Auditorium

ALL Juniors need to take an SAT or ACT exam this Spring and register now! Only 4 days left for the next SAT registration!!!

SAT Registration Deadline: February 10, 2017 (for the March 11th exam)- www.collegeboard.org
ACT Registration Deadline: March 3, 2017 (for the April 8th exam)- www.act.org

Khan Academy program for SAT practice-Khan Academy provides test prep to students tailored to their specific areas of weakness and strength according to their PSAT results. This is an INVALUABLE and FREE tool to help Juniors practice for the SAT!! ALL Juniors were given an opportunity to connect their PSAT scores with Khan academy last week, and the rest will meet this week in Student Services.
Students should be using this service NOW to study and practice for the SAT!
