make that into a career?
Join us for a STEM Career Day. Professionals working in a variety of fields can answer some of your questions and inspire you to follow your STEM dreams!
When: Monday, November 22nd (1/2 Day) from 7:30-11am
Where: 3rd Floor Science Rooms
Who: ALL Students Grade 9-12th are invited to sign the interest form
How It Will Work: There will be three sessions (1-2 period, 3-4 period, and 5-6 period). During each session, there will be 4-5 speakers set up in different rooms. These speakers will be from a
variety of STEM fields such as: doctors, nurses, engineers, computer scientists, forensic scientists, ecologists, and mathematicians. The list will grow as we have more professionals sign up for the event! Students will be required to have a pass for a session in order to attend.
How to be Invited: You MUST complete the interest form (online google form: http://goo.gl/forms/FihLpQ1ixS by OCTOBER 14th. Students who complete the interest form will receive information about signing-up for sessions the first week in November and will then receive passes to attend the selected sessions.
Calling Volunteers and Guest Speakers
If you know of someone who would make a great guest speaker for the career day, please ask them to email jodi_duff@hcpss.org. We are looking for professionals in ANY STEM career
field such as: doctors, nurses, dentists, physical therapists, engineers (aeronautical, chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical), mathematicians, statisticians, college professors in STEM
disciplines, computer scientists, ecologists, marine scientists, forensic scientists, biological researchers, physical science researchers, and more!
We are also looking for a few parent/guardian volunteers to help on the day of the event. Please email jodi_duff@hcpss.org if you would like to help for the day.
