Dear LRHS Community,
This Monday will mark Long Reach High School’s 20th Anniversary! In recognition of this special year, members of our Boosters organization, faculty, Music Boosters, and PTSA have worked collaboratively to develop Long Reach High School’s first official logo.
I am pleased to announce that the committee has narrowed the choices down to two options. Both can be found on our website. On Thursday, September 1, the entire student body and staff will vote to select our new logo. Once the votes have been tallied, our official logo will be announced later that evening as part of Back to School Night. Please stay tuned!
As you may know, we hosted our New Student Orientation yesterday. Our Lightning Leaders provided schedules to participants as they entered the school and later helped students find their classes. Our outstanding marching band, led by Mr. String, kicked off the orientation by playing the National Anthem as well as several other songs. Finally, refreshments were provided by our PTSA. While this occurred, LRHS held our first ever New AP Student Orientation. I would like to thank our student volunteers, the LRHS Marching Band, staff, and the PTSA for making Thursday happen!
Throughout this week, staff has been working hard to prepare for opening day. I would like to acknowledge the LRHS Boosters and PTSA for providing breakfasts and taking great care of our dedicated staff. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and we will see you on Monday!
Sincerely,
Joshua R. Wasilewski
