The ninth-grade class (with the guidance of their English teachers) are raising money for Rohingya Muslim refugees living in Bangladesh who were forced to leave Burma due to genocide and ethnic cleansing. After reading Elie Wiesel's Holocaust memoir, Night, we felt compelled to do something to help prevent further suffering in the world.
