Long Reach High School After School Program

The Beyond School Hours Program offers tutoring services in math, writing, ESOL support, college admission essay writing, and reading. All sessions meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays except for Writing, which meets Mondays and Thursdays. See below for important information for the Long Reach community: Dear LRHS Community, At LRHS, our diversity is an important attribute that makes our school such a wonderful place! In fact, did you know that over 150 of our amazing students are part of our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) program?

BSAP Saturday Math Academy registration will take place on Saturday, September 26th 9am - 12pm (or until courses are full)

Fall 2020 Saturday Math Academy registration is only for students currently enrolled in an HCPSS School Based Math Course. Parents should register for the desired math course through HCPSS Connect on 9/26 @ 9am-12pm. Parents that register for the Saturday Math Academy Fall 2020 session will be contacted for payment by a BSAP representative once registration is complete.

Free Food Distribution

The Catholic Community of Ascension and St. Augustine has partnered with Lancaster Food and Feed America to distribute boxes of food that contain fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy, and meat. The distribution will take place every Saturday starting at 10a during the month of October at Ducketts Lane Elementary School. There is no income and/or documentation restrictions.

Face-to-Face Supports to Small Groups of Students

In the coming weeks, HCPSS will begin providing face-to-face support to small groups of students. Identified students and staff have been invited to complete an interest survey. If you did not receive a survey, it is because your child has not yet been identified for in-person support.

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation's (HHF) 2020 Youth Awards

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation's (HHF) 2020 Youth Awards educational grants program is now accepting applications! Our 22nd Annual Youth Awards will award students who are in the graduating Class of 2021 with up to $1000 in educational grants to fund their higher education or a community-based project.
