As we begin the 2nd week of the 2020-2021 school year, we want to make sure students have the chance to resolve any Incomplete (I) grades from the 2019-2020 school year. If applicable, please take a moment to review the information below:
- Students who did not complete their work in Q4 of last school year must complete their Recovery of Learning Packet and the 2 PART SUBMISSION PROCESS before September 30, 2020.
- Students with incompletes in Q4, who did not complete the packet, will have the "I" converted to an "N/A." This is particularly important for any student who earned a grade of "E" in Q3. Students with an "E" in Q3 and "N/A" in Q4 will fail the class for the year and not earn credit.
- Packets were mailed in early July to all students who had a grade of Incomplete in Q4 with a few minor exceptions.
- Students were instructed to return them via email or US Mail to the Board of Education building.
- There is still an opportunity to get a new packet, complete it, and turn it in before September 30.
- Staff will be reaching out to families who have a student with a Q4 grade of incomplete, who are at risk of not earning credit for the class if they do not complete the packet.
- An electronic packet has been shared with your child in their Google Drive. Have them check "Shared with Me."
If it is not there, email Ms. Whiddon jennifer_whiddon@hcpss.org
- If the child wrote on the hard copy of the packet, the easiest thing to do is to drop it off at Long Reach. There is a bin outside the front entrance, labeled "Packets." We will deliver them to Central Office on or before September 30.
- Alternatively, the student can take pictures of the pages of the packet or scan the packet and email them to rolreturn@hcpss.org
- Follow this link to fill in a form for EACH packet you return. This is the way we will know to change your grade. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScGKbVrO2HMXl_W59vCYXpTku5pYqlxQ8U-I0tV07JW_GS66w/viewform
- OR, call 410-313-1526 and leave a message to tell them that you finished. Make sure to tell them your first and last name, school, and which packet was returned.
