Mon, 04/08/2019 - 8:10am

Class of 2019 and Parents,

Last Thursday, Student Services hosted it's first-ever Adulting Day for Seniors. At the end of Junior year, we surveyd the class of 2019 about what topics they would like to learn more about. From that survey, 71% of respondants indicated they would like to learn more about skills for success after high school, time management and stress management strategies, and ways to overcome real-life challenges.

We collaborated with the Orchid Center for ADHD and Executive Functioning in Ellicott City, who developed and delivered a presention and hand outs to seniors with practical ideas and strategies related to these topics. The presentation and handouts are attached, for your review and use. They include information on: procrastination, scheduling, studying, the anxiety/avoidance cycle, helpful apps and websites, how to learn and retain information, and focusing.

Seniors, we are interested in your constructive feedback! Please complete this 3 question feedback survey: https://forms.gle/ewhpWJ95pV7dfnE6A
