Summer Message from the Admin Team

Dear LRHS community,

Yesterday, all of our students finished for the summer and today and on Friday, most of our staff will be concluding the 2019-2020 school year.  While we have all faced disruption and challenges in the past two months, we have never stopped valuing community and learning.  Students, staff, and families have stood up to continue learning, celebrate the Class of 2020, ensure that students have chromebooks and wifi, support those in need, and support each other in the Superintendent's call to  "do our part to eradicate hate, condemn violence and stand up to acts of racism within our own community."  We are proud to be Lightning Strong.

On Monday we celebrated our Underclassmen Awards and recognized the achievements and activities of so many of our students.  If you missed it, you can see it here: https://lrhs.hcpss.org/news/2020/06/underclassmen-awards-2020.

We recommend that you begin your summer by listening to Mr. Anthone Bond's poem for the Class of 2020.  We echo his message to the Class of 2020 and their families!

Now is the time to recharge over the summer and be ready for the opportunities and challenges that the next school year will bring.  We wish you health and a time to reflect and rejuvenate.  Do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything this summer.

Sincerely,

The Long Reach High School Administrative Team
