REACH Information - how can we represent our school?

Mon, 10/17/2016 - 4:31pm

The next event for students will be held on 11/1 after school.  All students who turn in 5 REACH tickets will receive a bag of spooky treats.

REACH (Respect, Excellence, Achievement, Character, and Honor) embodies the mission of Long Reach High School and the expectations for all students and staff. Students and staff are encouraged to display each of these characteristics in ways such as engaging in positive interactions with others, being on time and prepared in class, actively participating in class, being involved in their communities, and showing sportsmanship at school activities.

Students can earn REACH tickets from any staff member by displaying the REACH characteristics in the classroom, halls, cafeteria, and community events. Every two weeks, we will have a REACH event for students and we will also have quarterly celebrations. Students need five tickets to enter in these events. We started this week with a raffle for free Wendy's meal coupons at lunch, and had 20 winners! See below for a schedule of upcoming reach events:

October 17th: Karaoke in the atrium during lunches: 5 tickets to participate!
November 1st: Spooky treats after school: 5 tickets for a treat bag!
November 15th: School store: Items sold at different ticket prices!

This year, we will also reward outstanding students and staff members with the REACH Student of the Month and REACH Staff Member of the Month. Our REACH students of the month are nominated by each department, and our REACH staff members of the month are nominated by students. Last week, students nominated our first REACH staff member of the month, who will be announced on the news this Friday!
